How the integration of sports pedagogy, clinical psychology, and psychomotor learning opens up new paths in equestrian training.
Dr. Ulrike Thiel operates on two strong pillars: working both as a sports educator and a psychologist, she consistently applies the criteria of psychomotor learning.
As an experienced equitherapist and trained clinical psychologist, she can also draw directly upon her psychotherapeutic practice – particularly when addressing sensitive topics such as anxiety, mental blocks, and tension issues while riding.
As a trained group facilitator, she knows how to guide group processes effectively and harmoniously. In her capacity as a former learning researcher, she also understands precisely how learning processes can be optimally structured and enriched through meaningful educational tools.
During both individual and group coaching, learning steps are made transparent for the student. This intentionally helps prevent the frustrations that frequently arise when “re-learning” one's seat and aid delivery.
In courses and workshops, we utilize top-tier, continuously refined audiovisual teaching materials, complemented by personal logbooks and structured end-of-process evaluations.
We place special emphasis on conducting a thorough intake session during personal, individual guidance. Here, realistic goals tailored precisely to each student are established, which are then jointly reviewed throughout the process and reflected upon at the conclusion.
